The Hart-Stead Foundation was formed in 2005 by Jacob Hart and Doug Stead as a not-for-profit educational fund. The dual purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for further education and to give hope and inspiration to hard working students. The foundation's focus is on the students who have utilized the education resources within their schools and aspire to continue their education despite their varied learning styles and the difficulties they have endured. Students who will qualify for this educational support will demonstrate outstanding character and a strong determination to succeed. It is the purpose of the Hart-Stead Foundation to offer scholarships to deserving students. This year we are giving away two $2,500.00 scholarships to Dennis-Yarmouth H.S. seniors. In addition to scholarships, we plan to provide tools and technology to the resource room and tutorial labs. Jake was a resource room student who benefited greatly from the one-on-one attention and care that was given. Without such educational support he would not be in the life situation he is today.
